The basics
What exactly do you do?
We set up and run an AI receptionist for your home-service shop. It answers your phone and website chat, asks the right questions, books routine jobs, hands emergencies to a person, and texts you the details. We build it, test it with you, and keep tuning it every month.
Is this software I have to learn?
No. We set up and manage the phone, chat, texting, and booking tools for you. You get texts and emails with the details. If you want to log in and read every conversation, you can.
Who is this for?
Phone-driven home-service trades across the United States—HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, garage doors, landscaping, pest control, and similar shops—especially owner-operators and small teams where the phone rings while everyone's out on jobs.
Do you work in every state?
Yes. We onboard shops in any US state. If you have special licensing or dispatch rules in your area, we'll build those into your script on setup.
What is it built on?
Established platforms for phone numbers, voice AI, chat, texting, and calendars. We set them up and manage them instead of building custom software, so you're not betting on something experimental. We'll tell you exactly which ones on our first call.
Calls & customers
Will callers know it's an AI?
Yes. The greeting says it's your shop's AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. If anyone asks, it tells the truth, and anyone can ask for a person.
What happens with an emergency?
You decide what counts: no heat, no AC, a gas smell, an active leak, anyone asking for a person. Those calls go straight to you or your on-call tech, by transfer or an instant text. For a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm, it first tells the caller to get outside and call 911 or the gas company.
What if it doesn't know the answer?
It doesn't guess. It takes a message and texts it to you right away.
What can it answer?
Questions about your business that you've approved: services, service area, hours, pricing ranges or trip charges, warranties and policies, financing if you offer it, and what customers should expect on a visit. On website chat, it can answer from the pages on your site because we train it on that content—it doesn't browse the web live. If a question isn't covered, it doesn't guess. It takes a message and texts you.
Will it quote my prices?
Only what you tell it to. Some owners share a trip charge or a tune-up price. Others want every price question to come to them. It's your call.
Can I keep my office person or answering service?
Yes. It can cover just after hours and overflow, so your team still takes the calls they can get to.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You keep your main number. We forward calls to your AI receptionist only when you want it to answer: after hours, overflow, or every call.
What does it sound like?
A natural, friendly voice. You'll hear it and approve the script before anything goes live.
Will it text my customers?
Only people who contacted you: booking confirmations, and replies when they text your number. Texts are registered under your business name, and replying STOP always works.
Will it make sales calls for me?
No. It only answers. We don't use AI for outbound calls.
Setup
How much of my time does setup take?
About 30–60 minutes for setup and testing, by our estimate. We do the building. We'll give you a go-live date on our first call.
What do you need from me?
Your website and Google Business Profile, your service area and hours, your emergency rules, who gets handoffs and how, access to your calendar (or we'll set one up), and anything it should or shouldn't say about pricing.
Does it work with my scheduling software?
It books into a calendar we set up for your shop. If you already use a scheduling or field-service tool, tell us which one on our first call and we'll tell you straight whether it connects.
Pricing & terms
How much does it cost?
Catch is $500 setup and $199/mo—missed-call text-back and website chat, with no AI phone minutes. Answer is $1,500 setup and $500/mo, with 200 voice minutes included, then $0.35/min up to your monthly cap. Full Desk is $2,500 setup and $850/mo, with 500 minutes included, then $0.30/min up to your monthly cap. See all plans on the pricing page.
Is there a contract?
Yes, a short one. It starts with a 3-month first term, then month to month. After the first term, you can cancel with 30 days' notice by email.
When do I pay the setup fee?
Half when you sign and half when it goes live. On Catch, the setup fee is credited toward Answer or Full Desk if you upgrade within 90 days. Otherwise it isn't refundable after go-live.
What if I go over my minutes?
Catch has no AI phone minutes. On Answer, 200 minutes are included, then $0.35/min up to your monthly cap. On Full Desk, 500 minutes are included, then $0.30/min up to your cap. We alert you at 80% of your cap; past the cap, calls automatically fall back to missed-call text-back. If you're regularly at the cap, we'll talk about whether Full Desk would save you money.
Will you guarantee more booked jobs?
No. Nobody can honestly promise that. Before go-live, we agree on what success looks like based on your numbers, and we review results with you on your monthly check-in.
Your data
Who owns the recordings and customer info?
You do: your contacts, call recordings, and transcripts. If you leave, we export them for you within 30 days, then delete our copies.
Are calls recorded?
Calls can be recorded and transcribed so you can review them and we can improve the answers. The greeting tells callers up front. You decide how long recordings are kept.
Still have a question?
Ask us on a 20-minute call, or just email. You'll get a straight answer.
