When you're elbow-deep in a job

Leaks and backups

Urgent calls go straight to you or your on-call plumber, with the address and problem already written down.

Nights and weekends

After-hours calls get answered instead of going to voicemail, by your rules.

Routine work

Drain cleaning, water heater quotes, and fixture installs go onto your calendar, with a confirmation text.

How it sorts plumbing calls

Routine

Booked on your calendar

  • Drain cleaning
  • Water heater repair and replacement quotes
  • Fixture, toilet, and disposal installs
  • Slow leaks and estimates

Emergency

Sent to a person right away

  • A burst pipe or water everywhere
  • Sewage backing up
  • A leaking water heater, or no water
  • A gas smell near a water heater, after telling the caller to get outside and call 911
  • Anyone who asks for a person

These are starting rules. You decide what goes where.

Example

Water coming through the ceiling

The caller reports active flooding upstairs. Your assistant gets the address, tells them to shut off the main water if they can do it safely, marks it an emergency, and texts your on-call plumber while keeping them on the line until someone answers.

What it can tell your customers

It's trained on your website and the business details you approve—not live browsing. That covers services, service area, hours, pricing ranges or trip charges you want shared, warranties and policies, financing if you offer it, and what to expect on a visit when you've documented it. On chat, it can answer from the pages on your site. When something isn't covered, it takes a message and texts you—it doesn't guess.

What we'll do

  • Tell every caller it's an AI, up front
  • Send every emergency to a person
  • Let you approve the script before it goes live
  • Show you every call and chat
  • Check in monthly and make the changes you ask for
  • Leave your phone number and customer data in your hands

What we won't do

  • Promise you a number of booked jobs. Nobody honestly can.
  • Make sales calls with AI
  • Pretend to be a person
  • Guess when it doesn't know. It takes a message instead.
  • Hide fees. Catch has no AI phone minutes. Answer includes 200 voice minutes, then $0.35/min; Full Desk includes 500, then $0.30/min. Extra minutes are billed up to a monthly cap you set, billed monthly. We alert you at 80% of your cap; past the cap, calls automatically fall back to missed-call text-back.

Questions plumbers ask

What can it answer?

Questions about your business that you've approved: services, service area, hours, pricing ranges or trip charges, warranties and policies, financing if you offer it, and what customers should expect on a visit. On website chat, it can answer from the pages on your site because we train it on that content—it doesn't browse the web live. If a question isn't covered, it doesn't guess. It takes a message and texts you.

What happens with an emergency?

You decide what counts: no heat, no AC, a gas smell, an active leak, anyone asking for a person. Those calls go straight to you or your on-call tech, by transfer or an instant text. For a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm, it first tells the caller to get outside and call 911 or the gas company.

Will it quote my prices?

Only what you tell it to. Some owners share a trip charge or a tune-up price. Others want every price question to come to them. It's your call.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You keep your main number. We forward calls to your AI receptionist only when you want it to answer: after hours, overflow, or every call.

Does it work with my scheduling software?

It books into a calendar we set up for your shop. If you already use a scheduling or field-service tool, tell us which one on our first call and we'll tell you straight whether it connects.

What if it doesn't know the answer?

It doesn't guess. It takes a message and texts it to you right away.
